INSIGHT+ Team

The INSIGHT+ team is dedicated to filling a significant gap in public sector workforce analysis. With no existing APIs providing comprehensive tracking of workforce dynamics on a regional basis, government officials and stakeholders are left without essential tools for evaluating the labor market and understanding the Key Skills and Abilities (KSAs) needed for effective public service delivery. The team is developing an API that will offer users, including government representatives and the public, access to dedicated URLs. These URLs will provide raw data responses, enabling seamless integration into various platforms for data representation, such as software applications and government websites. The research team brings together the necessary insights and resources to deliver this invaluable service, aiming to enhance transparency and efficiency within the public sector.

AI Team

The AI Team addresses a critical gap in understanding the impact of artificial intelligence on the US public sector workforce, providing both professionals and literature with an interactive and ever-evolving information tool. We are developing a sophisticated Large Language Model to perform in-depth analyses and predictions regarding the governmental employment landscape. Using a nuanced natural language processing program, our team will examine the classification specifications of governmental jobs to capture essential knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs). These insights will then be integrated into our AI model, which will be fine-tuned by domain experts and enhanced with exclusive data, allowing us to predict the five-year impact of AI on these roles. Furthermore, the team will strengthen this synthetic data by combining it with qualitative data drawn from public employees through surveys and interviews to compare and contrast machine and human perspectives. This dual approach will provide stakeholders with strategic tools and predictive insights at both the occupational and organizational levels, enabling effective workforce planning and development to harness AI advancements for optimized public service delivery.
