To help our users navigate our INSIGHT+ dashboard, our student researchers are producing "data stories" that provide both navigation advice and examples on what you can discover through the site. Below, we provide PDFs of those efforts. This will be a continuously updated aspect of INSIGHT+, so look out for new contributions from our students as we proceed!
INSIGHT+ has the US civil service labor market organized according to location (as one key dimension), which allows in-depth analysis on the comparative strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and nuances of various regions across the United States. Here, our student researcher, Wing Lam, provides guidance to users on how to navigate professions by occupational titles and by region to identify relevant job openings, using the DFW FEB region as an example.
INSIGHT+ has the US civil service labor market organized according to fiscal quarter (as one key dimension) from 2018 to present-day, which allows in-depth trend analyses on various other dimensions of occupational and location-based civil service labor markets. Here, our student researcher, Darren Cao, looks at how temporal interventions, like the COVID-19 crisis might impact the contours of these labor markets.
